Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between mothers' media literacy and the use of electronic media in children with behavioral problems of 4-6 year old children in Mojen. This is a descriptive-correlational study. The study population consisted of all parents and children of Mojen, and sample of 85 mothers with 4-6 year-old children in Mojen using cluster sampling method. Cochran's formula, with 95% confidence and 80% test ability, was selected from Quranic and Nursery schools and preschools around the city. Three questionnaires are: ASEBA Behavioral Problems, MLT-35 Media Literacy Questionnaire, and Electronic Media Use Questionnaire were used. Data analysis was performed at two levels of descriptive and inferential statistics using SPSS 22 software. For this purpose, we used Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test, Pearson correlation and Spearman correlation, Mann-Whitney mean difference and independent t-test. Anger scales, attention problems, aggressive behavior, and generalized extrinsic problems with game play and sleep problems with mobile entertainment were significant in children.
